Your Donations Empower Community-Led Conservation

Your donations empower local heroes to make a real difference across Ontario. From 2022-2024, our Community Conservation Fund fueled 44 vital projects with over $185,000. Engaging more than 3,200 volunteers, these efforts have restored critical habitats and revitalized shorelines from one end of the province to the other.

Donors like you helped Manitoulin Streams restore vital stream habitat in Grimesthorpe Creek and revitalize Wiikwemkoong First Nation’s shoreline. With an additional $50,000 in grants being invested in communities in 2025, your support continues to create powerful change.

Igniting Curiosity: Hands-On Learning with Conservation Crates

Your support for our Conservation Crates is unlocking wonders in classrooms across Ontario. These curriculum-linked kits deliver exciting, hands-on learning about all aspects of fish and wildlife directly to students, sparking a genuine discovery beyond typical field trips. As Grade 4 teacher Lori G. noted, the clear and concise information “inspired a number of students to ask their families to fish!”. Your support of this program fuels curiosity and cultivates future stewards, providing vital hands-on science education province-wide, delivering key age-appropriate facts about Ontario’s natural heritage.

From Classrooms to Conservation: The Bring Back the Salmon Program

Your support for the Bring Back the Salmon program transforms Ontario classrooms into vital conservation hubs. More than 100 dedicated teachers guide students in nurturing salmon from egg to fry (young fish). In May of this year, over 2,000 students proudly released more than 4,000 salmon they raised firsthand. These young stewards learn about fish biology, healthy habitats, and the vital truth that ecological health is wealth, fostering a deep love for conservation. It’s a truly transformative experience, connecting youth directly to the future of our natural world. The enthusiasm for this program is immense, with many more schools eager to participate.
