High School Virtual Volunteer Hours
Earn Your Volunteer Hours From Anywhere in Ontario – At Your Own Pace!
Looking for a flexible way to complete your volunteer hours? The OFAH Foundation is now offering Ontario high school students the opportunity to earn volunteer hours through online, self-paced modules focused on invasive species, biodiversity, and community clean-ups.

What You Need to Know
Program Eligibility:
- Participants must be 14 years of age or older.
- Participants must be returning to high school the following school year.
How It Works:
- Register to participate in the Virtual Volunteer Program (deadline: May 1, 2025)
- Join the Google Classroom: Once you register for the program, you’ll receive a link to a dedicated Google Classroom where you will complete all your modules and community action projects.
- Attend a Live Virtual Session: OFAH staff will provide an overview of the program, guide you through the modules, and explain how to make the most of your community projects (and get your volunteer hours).
- Complete the Modules & Projects: Once you’ve attended the live session, you can start working through the online, self-paced modules at your own convenience.
- Submit Your Activity Requirements: Log your hours as you complete each module and project on the Google Classroom platform. You’ll receive official documentation once you’ve completed your volunteer hours.
- Make a Difference: Your efforts will contribute to understanding and celebrating Ontario’s natural environment and local communities!
